Need help please!
Hi. I bought a second hand GuildWars, and I installed it and everything but when I typed the key code in to make an account, it said there was already an account made by that keycode (I assume the last person who owned the games account). Does anyone know how I can cancel the old account and make a new one?

There's no way to get it back. The guy who sold it to you ripped you off. He's probably still playing on the old account and sold you the CDs because they aren't necesarry to play the game. Don't ever buy a used Guild Wars game.

I can't believe a store pulled something like that. I could see someone trying that online, but a store! I would advise never shopping at that store again. I'm also curious as to if this is a big name store like Best Buy or something.

Probably isn't Best Buy or something of that nature (they don't do reselling of games). However, something like Electronics Boutique or one of those computer guys in the mall usually do reselling. After all, they are the kind of places where you can trade in old games for store credit towards something else.

If you have a store receipt, it's possible anet will honor your purchase and issue a new key for you, I suppose it can't hurt to ask them by opening a support ticket...

like lennymon said, open a support ticket, however they will ask for a copy of the key (scanned copy of the original key from the package, not just a typed in string) so if you can provide that you can prove your ownership, otherwise you're probably up the creek unless the store will give you a refund. If the store gives you a refund, make sure they know how guildwars works so far as keys go, so no one else in your area has the same issue.

Someone might have got smart and taken the key, made an account, then took the game back to the store for a refund, where the clerk was too dumb to realize that the game disks aren't what you need to play. Then the clerk re-sold the returned CDs.
